Go ahead, get uncomfortable
I asked to be placed in honors classes in high school even though my test scores were not high enough. Four years later I was the class salutatorian with a full scholarship to college.
I asked the parents of a girl for their daughter’s hand in marriage. They said no. I married her anyway. 21 years later, we are still happily married.
I stood up to a bad client who threatened to have my job. His boss agreed with me. Bad client quits that day. I keep my job.
I am not ready to have kids. A kitten comes into my life and show me how much love I still have to give. I have two amazing kids who complete me.
I started presenting digital ideas to clients and they were buying my thinking. My agency could not deliver the resources I needed and in an odd twist they lay me off after 12 years. I reinvent myself as a digital marketer and spend the next 10 years earning more than most people at the previous agency.
I am teaching yoga on the side. Last night I taught my first original sequence and found myself feeling a bit nervous. I got great feedback from my students who said they loved it.
